3 Things To Incorporate Into Your Morning Routine

February is upon us and we may be feeling on fire for 2020 or in a slump because our New Year’s Resolution is already taking a downward spiral. It’s times like this that can really make or break how your year will go. You can choose to push forward or you can choose to let the setbacks consume you. Choose to push forward, choose to say ‘I AM ENOUGH.’ Our mind is in a constant battle with what we want and how we feel. I find that establishing a solid morning routine really helps set that intention for your day to push onward, to make it happen for you and have a good day!

Choose to say ‘I AM ENOUGH.’ Our mind is in a constant battle with what we want and how we feel. I find that establishing a solid morning routine really helps set that intention for your day to push onward, to make it happen for you and have a good day!

3 Things to Incorporate into Your Morning Routine:

  1. Journal– I know you may be thinking that seems cheesy, but there’s something about a pen to paper connection, just letting your thoughts flow. Journaling is a great way to let it all out on paper, whatever it may be. I often journal thoughts I’m feeling, maybe reflect on the day before, set intentions for the day ahead and write down things I am grateful for. This strategy is a great way to have that mind-body connection, knowing your thoughts and leaving it all on the paper to go about your day.
  1.  Move– Doing some time of movement in the morning helps get your endorphins flowing, those “feel good” chemicals that have you feeling on fire for the day ahead. Whether it’s on a piece of cardio equipment, yoga or a stroll outside do something that makes you feel good and moving.
  1. Drink lemon water- Whether cold or warm, lemon water is a great day-starter as lemon balances out the pH levels in your body. pH levels play a significant role in your gut health, mood, hormones and energy levels throughout the day. This simple routine each morning can help ensure your body is ready to start the day. When we have a balanced pH in our bodies, it not only reflects in your inner self but our skin improves, we have that lively & healthy glow!

Try incorporating these things into your morning routine. Yes this may require you to wake up half an hour earlier…but isn’t the benefits worth it? Why risk having a rushed and unsettling morning when you can take that little bit of extra time for YOU to increases the chances of YOU having a great day!!

Shine on!
